Florence Tilton Ahlfeld (1894 - ?) -- student

Florence Tilton, a native of Vermillion, South Dakota, was born in 1894. Studies at the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia University, and the Stone City art colony comprised her formal art training. Tilton served as a painter and professor at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois; she was on faculty while attending the eastern Iowa art experiment. She later married the Illinois artist Fred Ahlfeld; her activities following 1935 are being researched at this time.
