| Kristy Raine is
Reference Librarian and Archivist at Mount Mercy University. Her
workplace duties include reference service, researching and developing the
Busse Library electronic book series, designing and updating Busse
Library webpages, bibliographic instruction, and maintaining the university archives. Following her
undergraduate education at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, she
moved to Iowa and received a masters degree in English from Iowa State
University and a masters in Library and Information Science degree from the
University of Iowa.
Linda Loos Scarth is the former Reference Librarian at Mount Mercy University. She provided reference service, taught information retrieval, evaluation and use, webpage construction, use of course management software and related topics, and built the Busse Library's web presence along with Marilyn Murphy and Kristy Raine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a masters from Pennsylvania State University, a doctorate from the University of Georgia, and her masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa. Dr. Scarth reviews reference materials for several publications. Prior to coming to Mount Mercy University she taught at the university level in the U.S. and worked as a school counsellor in Australia. She is also a nature photographer. Marilyn Murphy is the Director of Library Services at Mount Mercy University. She serves as webmaster for the library's website and is administrator of the college's course management system, in addition to her duties as library director. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa, a masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa, and a masters in Educational Technology from the University of Northern Iowa. She serves as Secretary on the Executive Board of the Iowa Library Association. |
